Bounnong Phouangphet - July 9, 1948 - Nov. 25, 2003

Bounnong Phouangphet, age 55, of Storm Lake died Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Bounnong Phouangphet was born in Laos on July 9, 1948, to Koune and Soutta Synarong. She was married in 1979 to Kosonh Phouangphet in Thailand. She was a homemaker who was willing to help anyone in need. She helped raise her younger brother and sisters. Bounnong was an avid gardener.

She is survived by her husband, Kosonh of Storm Lake; daughter: Thanome Sim; son: James Phouangphet; brothers: Bounruong Synarong, Sompong Synarong, Bounthong Synarong, Boonkhout Synarong and La Thabone Synarong; sisters Kongmany Synarong, Manivone Synarong, Oraxone Synarong and Keoninh Phoutsaphone; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother and one brother.

Traditional Buddhist rites will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
