Jamie L. Peters - Sept. 18, 1986 - July 24, 2005

Jamie Lee Peters, age 18, of Aurelia, Iowa passed away Sunday, July 24, 2005 at his home.

Jamie was born September 18, 1986 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Ronald James Peters and Sandra Kay (Burns) Peters. He was a happy child whose smile and joy of life touched the hearts of so many people. He attended special education classes in the Storm Lake Schools. Jamie was baptized June 28, 2005, and was currently a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia.

Jamie loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. He enjoyed music, especially Hip-Hop and Rap; watching television, swimming and going for walks. Jamie was a blessing to his family and he will be missed dearly.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sandra Kay (Burns) Kracht and her husband James Kracht; his father, Ronald James Peters and his wife Karla (Sands) Peters; sister Sierra Kracht of Aurelia; brother Nathan Peters of Everly, Iowa and his fiancee, Jessica Waters and her son, Eli Waters; step-brothers: Justin Kracht and wife Heather and son Caleb of Lake Park, Iowa, Jayden Kracht of Peterson, Iowa, Chris Nowatzke of Rockwell City, Iowa and Raymond Nowatzke of Sac City, Iowa; step-sister Candi Kracht of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; Maternal grandparents: Don, Sr. and Syliva Burns, paternal grandparents Lester and Kandy Peters; step-grandparents Herbert and Iva May Kracht, and Chris and Kathy Sands; great-grandmother Helen I. Hamon; as well as many other family members and a host of friends.

Preceding Jamie in death were his grandmother, Lucille Pratt; great-grandfather, Robert E. Hamon, great-grandparents Herman and Tollie Peters; and his uncle, Danny Lee Peters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake, with Reverend Larry Lemke officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s cemetery in rural Peterson, Iowa.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 25, 2005 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake.
