Charlotte Hirsh, age 79, of Newell, Iowa died January 5, 2010 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
Charlotte Gnewuch was born on June 12, 1930 in Bloomfield, Nebraska the daughter of Hugo and Minnie (Luellman) Gnewuch. Charlotte attended high school in Bloomfield, Nebraska.
On October 8, 1950 Charlotte was united in marriage to Marvin “Pat” Lavaine Hirsh at First Trinity Church in Bloomfield, Nebraska. Together they were blessed with four children: Curtis, Debra, Craig, and Kevin.
Charlotte belonged to the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Newell, Iowa where she taught Sunday school and was an active member of Ladies Aid. Charlotte enjoyed bird watching, reading and crossword puzzles. She loved watching sports and going to games. Charlotte enjoyed traveling and treasured being with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Curtis (Carol) Hirsh of Austin, Texas; Debra (Steve) Jacobson of Omaha, Nebraska; Craig (Glennys) Hirsh of Omaha, Nebraska; Kevin (Michelle) Hirsh of Harrison, Arkansas; her seven grandchildren: Justin (Angela) Roush, Shiloh and T.J. Jacobson, Judy and Ian Hirsh, and Kelsey and Patrick Hirsh; her sister, Clara Gutz of Osmond, Nebraska; extended family and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Pat” on October 21, 2002; her parents Hugo and Minnie; her two sisters, Cora and Mary; and her brother, Norman Gnewuch.
Visitation: 4-7:00 p.m. January 08, 2010 at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Newell, Iowa
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. January 09, 2010 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Newell, Iowa
