William "Bill" Lange - Nov. 05, 1937 - Nov. 14, 2009

Storm Lake, Iowa
William August Lange was born on November 5, 1937 in Odebolt, Iowa, the son of Harold and Lucille (Drey) Lange. He attended school at Sacred Heart Catholic School, graduating with the class of 1956.

On September 5, 1959, Bill was united in marriage to Loueen Stelpflug. This union was blessed with three children: David, Linda and Diane.

Bill was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith. He was an active and faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake and the Knights of Columbus.

During his younger years, Bill was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. He farmed in the Storm Lake area for many years. Bill enjoyed golfing, spending his winters with Loueen in Arizona and having coffee with the guys. More than anything, Bill cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid fan of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Loueen Lange of Storm Lake, Iowa; his children: David (Karla) Lange of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Linda (Warren) Gilman of Dexter, Iowa; Diane (Lynn) Waggie of Rochester, Minnesota; grandchildren: Joel, Kristin, Kali, Karl, Julianne and Megan; three brothers: Bob (Bunny) Lange of Storm Lake; Jim (Elberta) Lange of Storm Lake; Rich (Cheryl) Lange of Early, Iowa; one sister, Sue (Larry) Menke of Colorado Springs, Colorado; extended family and many friends.

Preceding Bill in death are his parents, Harold and Lucille Lange; two children: Debra Sue and Pamela Marie; and grandchildren: Rachael and Nicholas.

Visitation: 4-8:00 p.m. November 16, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. November 17, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa

Vigil Service: 7:00 p.m. November 16, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa
William "Bill" Lange, age 72, of Storm Lake, Iowa died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at his home.
