Teresa A. Kruse - Jan. 4, 1968 - Feb. 14, 2009
Teresa A. Kruse, age 41, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.
Teresa Ann Foust, the daughter of Mike and Cindy (Ellis) Foust was born at Storm Lake, Iowa, on January 4, 1968. She was baptized on January 21, 1968, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Teresa attended grade school in Storm Lake and completed her education through Iowa Central Community College in Storm Lake in 1989.
Teresa married Ronnie Ryherd on April 22, 1983, and this couple were the parents of three children: Joshua Edward, Jeremy Allan and Jennifer Ann.
On January 2, 2003, Teresa was united in marriage to Kevin Wayne Kruse at Newell, Iowa, and this union was blessed with a son: Keegan Wayne. During Teresa and Kevin’s married lifetime, they resided on a farm northeast of Storm Lake. Kevin was engaged in farming and worked at Ranco in Sioux Rapids, and Teresa was employed for 14 years at Buena Vista Manor Care Center in Storm Lake.
Teresa was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in rural Storm Lake. Teresa and Kevin enjoyed spending time together outdoors, and Teresa enjoyed working in her garden. Teresa’s family was so important to her, and she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mom, grandma, and daughter. She cherished the time she could spend with her family and friends.
Over the years, she enjoyed adding to her porcelain doll collection, reading, doing puzzle books, fishing, camping and taking family vacations. Teresa was a very caring and compassionate person and blessed many residents and families through her employment at Buena Vista Manor. She would spend many of her holidays working at the nursing home and giving special attention to the residents who did not have family members with whom to share that day.
Teresa will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family, including her husband, Kevin of Storm Lake; her children: Joshua Ryherd of Alta, Iowa; Jeremy Ryherd and his fiancée, Chantel Kragel, of Alta, Iowa; Jennifer Ryherd of Storm Lake; and Keegan Kruse of Storm Lake; three grandchildren: Emma Ryherd, Aydison Ryherd and Garrett Ryherd; her parents, Mike and Cindy Foust of Alta, Iowa; her brother and sister-in-law, Corey and Andrea Foust of Alta, Iowa; her sister; Deb Nelson of Des Moines, Iowa; her sister and brother-in-law, Michele and Tate Nelson of Wayne, Nebraska; her father- and mother-in-law, Wayne and Marian Kruse of Storm Lake; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Foust.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kruse will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Storm Lake. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. The Sliefert Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 20, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake, where the family will be present.
