Peg Peterson July 19, 1945 - Sept. 20, 2009
Monday, September 28, 2009Peg Peterson, age 64, of Storm Lake, died Sept. 20, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial was in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.
Margaret Kleespies was born to Victor and Bennetta (Foley) Kleespies on July 19, 1945 in Carroll. She was baptized in Carroll and later confirmed into the Catholic faith at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Margaret attended grade school and high school at St. Mary's where she graduated in 1964.
On Aug. 9, 1968, Peg was united in marriage to Ed Peterson. This couple was blessed with one daughter, Donna.
Peg worked as a Nurse's Aide, Medical Aide and Home Health Care Aide. She enjoyed being around kids and loved playing cards, especially 500. She had a passion for baking crescent rolls, cookies and homemade candy. She loved driving around the lake and going to garage sales. Peg treasured spending time with family and studying her genealogy.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donna Peterson and son-in-law, Jer Warrington of Estherville; her brothers: Bill (Marilee) Kleespies of Rolf; Bob Kleespies of Cedar Falls; Andy Kleespies of Correctionville; her step-mother, Carol Kleespies of Correctionville; her grandchild, Mason Warrington of Estherville; her step-brother, Mike (Kim) Synderhan of Correctionville; extended family and friends.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David.
