Ralph Koskovich, age 88, of Colorado Springs, Colo. and formerly of Storm Lake, died Nov. 3, 2009 in Colorado Springs.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Ralph was born Jan. 14, 1921 to Ed and Laura (Macklin) Koskovich. He lived in Minnesota for seven years and then moved to Bloomfield, Neb. where Ralph graduated from High School.

Ralph married Lunetta Griess in 1942 and moved to Correctionville, where he was employed in a Grocery Store for one and a half years. He started farming in 1944 near Holstein and later farmed in the Galva and Storm Lake area. After farming Ralph was employed by Hygrade Foods until the plant closed. Ralph did various handy man jobs until he took a job mowing the Buena Vista county roads for ten years. Ralph enjoyed gardening and playing cards. He was blessed with four sons, Eldon of Clearlake, Calif.; Gary of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Randy (Karen) of Ely; Brian (Diane) of Dickinson, N.D.; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The past year and a half Ralph lived in an Assisted Living apartment in Colorado Springs. The staff attended to his needs and enjoyed listening to his stories.

He is survived by his brothers Ed/Ardis of Minnesota; Wayne/Marie of Washington; Russell/Marvel of Iowa; and Dale of Iowa; a sister Betty from California and brother and sister in laws Dean and Helen Griess of Colorado, Marvin and Kathleen Griess of Nebraska.

Ralph was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Lunetta.

The family requests memorials to be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
