Tuesday, November 24, 2009Marcia L. Tippy, age 54, of Storm Lake, died Nov. 17, 2009 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.
A Memorial service was held on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. The family has requested that Memorials be made to The American Cancer Society. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.
Marcia L. Tippy was born Oct. 2, 1955 in Storm Lake, the daughter of George and Betty (Willey) Tippy. She attended school in Storm Lake where she graduated in 1974.
Marcia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. She was an active member of the 482nd TRANS Army Family Readiness group of Cherokee.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting and cards. Attending car races was one of her favorite past times, especially figure eight races in Primghar. Marcia's family was very important to her and she will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Joshua and his wife Sherri Tippy and their children: Matthew, Hannah, and Kaitlyn all of Cabot, Ark.; her sister, Deb and her husband Lucian Siepka of Cherokee; her nieces and nephews: Nikolaus Siepka of Rock Rapids; Carrie Siepka of Houston, Texas; and Merle, Chrissy, Jarod and Brandon Tippy of the Hayes, Kansas area; great nieces and nephews; cousins; extended family and friends.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ellis Tippy.
