Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. for Sarah Elizabeth Reese, 78, in the Methodist church. Rev. N. M. Coughenour officiated.

Born in Kankakee, Illinois, Mrs. Reese had lived for many years in the Alta community. She was preceded in death by Mr. Reese who passed away a few years ago.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Nettie Rukes of Greenville, Laura Shoemaker of Minnesota, Mrs. Alfred (Florence) Grienke of Alta, Olive Batho of Massachusetts and two sons, Archie of Greenville and Marvin of Waterloo.

Interment took place at Woodlawn; the Wilkinson Funeral home was in charge.
