Christopher M. “Chris” Biekert, 58, of Independence, Iowa died Friday evening, March 26, 2021 at Unity Point-Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

A private family memorial service for Chris will be held in conjunction with the service for his mother, Ellie Biekert, at the Church of Christ United in Winthrop, Iowa. Rev. Kevin Jennings and Pastor John Sheda will officiate.

Final Resting Place: Fairview Cemetery, Winthrop.

Christopher Michael Biekert was born November 23, 1962 at Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Ronald Ray and Elinor Rae “Ellie” (Grandgeorge) Biekert. He graduated from East Buchanan High School in the class of 1981. Chris lived and worked at various jobs in Buchanan County until his health declined and he was no longer able to work. Chris was a member of Living Water Church in Independence. He enjoyed fishing and watching his nieces and nephews participate in their school activities.

Preceded in death by Grandparents; Father: Ron on January 21, 2008; and Mother: Ellie on March 15, 2021.
