Killed by the Heat.
Hazelton, July 27.—A young man named Johnie Deusman, about 16 years old, clerking for Sherwood & Stockings, Independence, left that place on his bicycle Sunday afternoon for a short visit with Ed. Hillman near this place, and was found by the roadside near Mr. Hillman’s overcome by the heat. He was carried to the home of the latter and died soon after.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Dusman and that he was born in 1881 and died Aug 26, 1896. He is buried in St. John’s Cemetery. It shows he died in August; however, a newspaper report shows it was July 26 as it does above.
