Killed his Baby Brother.
Lamont, June 25.—While the wife of Oran{sic} Anderson, who resides on the edge of town, was absent from the house A few moments last evening, Clarence, the 10-year-old son, picked up his father’s Winchester and pointed it at his baby brother in a playful manner. He pulled the trigger, not knowing the gun was loaded, and the ball entered the baby’s left eye, killing the little one instantly. The boy realized what he had done and ran for his mother and exclaimed, “Mamma, kill me, I shot the baby and killed it.”

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Orrin Edgar who was born Sept. 4, 1898 and died June 23, 1899. He is buried in Campton Cemetery. The father's name was also spelled Orrin.
