Edward (Carl) “Eddie” Wolfe, 74, of Quasqueton, Iowa died on Friday morning, March 27, 2020 at his home.

Carl Edward Wolfe was born on June 28, 1945 in Independence, Iowa the son of Carl Alan and Grace Brown (Schuman) Wolfe. Carl “Eddie” Wolfe was united in marriage to Donna Jean Recker on October 9, 1965 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lamont, Iowa. They lived at Aurora for nine years and then moved to Quasqueton, where they have lived, the past 43 years. To this union were born three sons: Randall, Ronald and Kurt. Ed worked as a scheduler for the John Deere’s Tractor works in Waterloo for thirty years.

Eddie’s favorites were : the wedding dance at the Coliseum with Donna, camping, hunting in Keosauqua with the boys, leisurely cruises on the pontoon, cooking for local fish fries and hog roasts, the swimming pool and teaching Andrea and Justin to swim, and golfing at Winthrop with a cold beer in his hand.

Eddie is survived by his Wife: Donna Wolfe of Quasqueton; 3 Sons: Randall (Kelly) Wolfe of Dunlap, Illinois,Ronald (Karri) Wolfe of Quasqueton & Kurt (Susie) Wolfe of Quasqueton;
10 Grandchildren: Daniel (Jen) Wolfe, Alyssa (Justin) Shaffer, Derek Wolfe,Savanna Wolfe, Caitlyn Wolfe, Jake Wolfe, Cassie Wolfe, Colton Wolfe, Emma Wolfe, Karsyn Wolfe; 2 Step-Grandchildren: Brennan Murphy and Kaitlyn Murphy; 7 Great Grandchildren: Laylah, Eddie, Khiyah, Sadie, Liam, Nolan & Elsie; 2 Sisters: Linda “Susie” (Brian) Wunder of Aurora & Mary Ann Duggan of Marion; Step-Brother: Norris Schuman of Reinbeck and Nieces & Nephews.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father: Wilmer Schuman.

Private Family Visitation and Graveside Service will be held at the Quasqueton Cemetery, Quasqueton, Iowa with Rev. David Beckman of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Winthrop, officiating.

There will be an announcement when public services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
