Franklin Jack Ellyson, 19, of Independence, Iowa died on Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Delaware County, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Church of Christ United at Winthrop. Interment of cremains will take place later in Fairview Cemetery at Winthrop.

Franklin Jack Ellyson was born January 25, 2001 the second child of Jack Lee and Colleen Layman Ellyson, in Covenant Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa.
Franklin was a good worker, liked sports, to cook, cars and old cars. He enjoyed spending time with friends and especially his grandpa, doing projects with him, and traveling with family members.
He graduated from East Buchanan High School, May, 2019. He worked at the school one summer during vacation. He worked other jobs in Independence, Iowa. He lived in Independence, Iowa with his friend Megan Conrad.
Franklin is survived by his father Jack Ellyson of Winthrop; his daughter Naomi Ellyson and friend Megan Conrad of Independence, his grandfather Ronald Burke of Winthrop, many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Colleen, his grandmother Darlene Burke, an infant sister Jacqueline Ellyson and cousin Nathan Bernardy.
