Mrs. (Mary) William F. Ehrke

Mrs. William F. Ehrke, 65, of 304 Oaklawn Ave., died early Friday at Allen Memorial hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been a patient at the hospital since Saturday.

Born Mary E. Barske, Nov. 8, 1888, in Germany, she was brought to this country when a baby. She lived in Independence until she moved to Waterloo in 1944.

Mrs. Ehrke was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Modern Woodmen of America.
She was married in Independence, Oct. 22, 1910, to William Ehrke. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Clarence E., Mesa, Ariz., Erwin C., Independence, Grant R., Cedar Falls, and William A., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Emily E. Sherrill, Tacoma, Wash.; brothers, William and Otto Barske, both of Independence; sisters, Mrs. Emma Timm, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Elma Sill and Mrs. Esther Becker, Lamont; stepmother, Mrs. Louise Barske, Lamont, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending at Kerns-Dykeman Chapel.
