Train Kills an Athlete.
Reynolds Donnan, a resident of Independence, was instantly killed at Kansas City while working with a bridge gang there. The young man was hit by the train and was so badly mangled that he lived but a short time. He was twenty-two years old, a graduate of the Independence high school and a star athlete. He is survived by a widowed mother.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Independence and was born in 1885.
