Mary E. Davison was born at Naperville, Ill, on January 11,1860, and came to Buchanan County, Iowa with her parents in the year 1863, where she resided all her life.

On January 1,1878, she was united in marriage to Finley Graham at the home of her parents in Byron township. Her father died May 8.1909 and her mother preceded her in death by the short time of 28 days. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, three sisters, and one brother.

Mrs. Graham had for many years been afflicted with rheumatism, but was able to be around the home until two days before she departed from this life, which occurred Friday, Feb. 6, 1914, at 4:30 o'clock in the afternoon. Through the years of suffering she manifested patience and fortitude, which revealed a character, strong and true. The sorrowing husband feels the great loss of his wife, who through sunshine and shadow these many years they have journeyed along the road of life together.

The funeral service was held at her late home, where many neighbors and friends joined with the relatives in paying respect to one whom they held high esteem. Rev.. Brockett conducted the service and internment was made in Fairview cemetery.

Those from out of town were here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Day, of Slayton, Minn; Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Davison, of Independence; Tracy Graham and Mrs. Mamie Graham, of Waterloo, and Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Hovey , of Cedar Falls.
