Leelanee R. Heidt, 39, of Independence, Iowa died Sunday morning, January 1, 2012, at Allen Memorial Hospital Waterloo, Iowa.

Leelanee was born April 23, 1972 in Waterloo, Iowa; the daughter of Alwyn and Jacqueline (Winter) Beatty. She graduated from the Independence High School and received her Certified Nursing Assistant certification from Hawkeye Community College, Waterloo, Iowa. She was employed with West Village Care Center, Independence, Iowa.

She is survived by her parents Alwyn and Jacqueline (Winter) Beatty, four brothers Skylar (Debra) Beatty of Aurora, IA, Travis (Jenice) Beatty of Hazelton, IA, Aaron (Lisa) Beatty of Postville, IA, and Jeremy (Nicole) Beatty of Winthrop, IA.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Marge and Dean Winter, and Violet and Albert Beatty, and a sister Heather Beatty.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
