Gary W. Sager, son of William and Harriet Sager, was born in New York state, on June 8, 1853. When quite a boy he came west with his parents to the state of Illinois where the family made their home for a few years. Sixty years ago the deceased came to reside near Lamont Iowa where for over 30 years he made his home.

Mr. Sager was married in the year 1879 to Miss Amanda Thompson. To this union two sons were born, Alton and William. On May 29, 1904, the mother and son Alton were called home, leaving the father and William to mourn their great loss.

On November 28, 1905, the deceased was married to Miss Leona Waite, who preceeded him in death in the year 1919.

On Dec. 28th, 1920, Mr. Sager was married to Mrs. Addie Arhrens who preceded him in death in the year 1924.

For the past 27 years the deceased has lived in the town of Lamont, Iowa, where he has been a highly respected citizen. He was a man of high character and always interested in every movement to make the town a worthy place in which to live. On Friday p.m. Apr. 8 he was called away suddenly to the eternal home, having reached the age of 78 years and 10 months. He leaves to mourn his departure, one son, William of Lamont to whom the sympathy of the whole community is extended in this sudden bereavement. The city of Lamont has lost another of its early settlers who will be missed as the days pass on.
