MRS. ANNA SEVERINE "RENA" JENSEN

Mrs. Anna Rena Jensen, nee Tellefson, was born March 28, 1866 in Christiansen [Kristiansand], Norway. In her infancy she was received into communion with the Triune of God by the Sacrament of holy Baptism. She was instructed in the chief parts of Christian doctrine and received into membership of the Lutheran Church by the act of confirmation. She came to this country in 1882, settling in Leland, Illinois.

She was united in marriage with Gunder Jensen in 1886 at Clinton, Iowa. This union was blessed with seven children, five sons and two daughters. One daughter has already preceded her mother into eternity. In 1916 she together with her husband and family moved to Westgate. Mr. Jensen passed away in 1927.

She was again united in marriage to Charles Jensen on Dec. 24, 1927 at Independence, Iowa. Her second husband passed away May 18, 1936. She moved to Fairbank in 1938 and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Polege until the time of her death.

She had been in failing health for a number of years, but became seriously ill last Sunday. She passed away Wednesday, July 12, at 2:45 P. M. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Polege, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 14 days. [1944]

She leaves to mourn her departure: Five sons, John of Sheridan, Illinois; Gustav of Oelwein; Oscar of Rowley; George of Fairbank, and Clarence of Clinton; one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Polege of Fairbank; 32 grandchildren; 9 great-grand-children; one sister, Mrs. O. H. Olson of Ellsworth, Iowa; besides many other relatives and friends.
