Michael E. Kirkbride, 47, Everton, formerly of Kingsville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, near Liberal, MO.

Michael was born Nov. 24, 1963, in Waterloo, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Independence, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Brenda K. Gudde on May 10, 1983, in Warrensburg. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 to 1988. Following his discharge from active duty, the couple made their home in Kingsville. He had worked as a machinist for Stahl Specialty for several years.

Survivors include his daughter, Kaycee Maxine Kirkbride, and a son, Levi Michael Kirkbride, both of Warrensburg; three sisters, Debbie Dennler of Grand Island, Neb.; Cindy Clabough of Everton, and Robin Postel of Independence, Iowa; a brother, George Kirkbride of Oelwein, Iowa; three brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Rosie and Ira Kirkbride; and a brother, Jack Murphy.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Kingsville Cemetery, with the Rev. John McRoy of Kingsville Baptist Church officiating.

Military graveside honors will be provided by Holden Veterans of Foreign Wars, Memorial Post 5844 and Munday-Hancock Post 90 of the American Legion.

Pallbearers will be David Clabough, Tom Dennler, Daniel Gudde, Brandon Phelps, Lewis Phelps and Kenny Postel.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Michael E. Kirkbride Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
