Jesup – Alice C. Bergman, 81 years old of rural Jesup, IA, died Saturday, October 9, 2010, at her daughter’s rural Jesup home.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. – Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, with Rev. Kristy Parker officiating.

Burial was at the Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, IA.

Honorary casket bearers were Skyler Masteller and Jim Grimm. Casket bearers will be Michael C. Hall, William “B.J.” Hall, Douglas Bergman, Louis Bergman, Ryan See and Christopher Jacobsen. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mrs. Bergman was born February 10, 1929, in Elmwood Park, IL, the daughter of Louis Edwin Johnson and Margaret Effie (Williams) Johnson.

Littleton, IA, has been her home since the age of ten when her family moved to the area. On November 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Alvin Mike Bergman in Elmwood Park, IL. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1994. Alice enjoyed decorating for the holidays, being with family, her dog “Skippy”, and loved to decorate cakes.

Mrs. Bergman is survived by two daughters, Marg (William) Hall of Jesup, IA, Judy (Chris) Jacobsen of rural Independence, IA; two sons, Robert A. Bergman of Independence, IA, and Roy M. (Jean) Bergman of Jesup, IA; also, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great-grandson.

In addition to her husband Alvin, her parents and four brothers, Louie, Martin, Bob and George Johnson preceded her in death.
