Independence - Timothy Wayne Bellendier, 40 years old, of St. Joseph, Missouri, formerly of Independence, Iowa, died on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, from injuries sustained in an assault.

He was born on July 25, 1968, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Thomas Wayne and Kathryn P. (Downs) Bellendier. He graduated from high school in Independence, Iowa, with the Class of 1986. In 2008, he relocated to St. Joseph, Missouri, and was a Maintenance Supervisor at Triumph Foods. He was a sportsman at heart, specifically hunting and fishing.

Mr. Bellendier is survived by 1 daughter, Amanda L. Bellendier of Bardstown, Kentucky, and 3 sons, Timothy Bellendier, Jr., of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Anthony Bellendier and Nicholas Bellendier, both of Independence, Iowa. He is also survived by his parents, Kathy and Tom Bellendier of Independence, Iowa, 1 brother, Tom Bellendier, II, of Waterloo, Iowa, and 1 sister, Tammy (Shadron) Silberstein of Independence, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by on brother, Terry Bellendier and 1 nephew, Terrynce Bellendier.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at the White Funeral Home in Independence, Iowa, with Sharon Bainbridge officiating. Casket Bearers will be Jim Wessels, Shadron Silberstein, Aaron Bellendier, Willy Downs, James Braby, and Jordan Irwin. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Independence, Iowa.

Friends may call for visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9th, at the funeral home.
