OELWEIN - Allan E. Hansen, 71, of Independence, formerly of Oelwein and Hazleton, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids after a long illness.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, with the Rev. Harry Koelker officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, where a rosary will take place at 4 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m.

Survivors include his three daughters, Deb Fox of Sumner, Julie Hansen Lathum of Marion and Lori O'Donnell of Cedar Rapids; brother, Ron of Albert Lea, Minn.; and sister, Janice Henderson of California.
