JESUP – Helen E. Reedy, 90 years old, of Stewartville, Minnesota, formerly of Jesup, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville.

She was born on October 4, 1916, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Mary (Clark) Archer. She graduated from the Oelwein, Iowa, high school. On October 7, 1939, she and Elmer Paul Reedy were married in Waterloo, Iowa, at St. John’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1985.

Mrs. Reedy was formerly a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup and was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Court of St. Pius X #1714 in Jesup.

Mrs. Reedy is survived by 1 son, Paul (Arlene) Reedy of Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico, and 5 daughters, Kathleen (Dale) Nienhaus of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, Sr. Annette Reedy of Eagan, Minnesota, Josephine (Lew) Randall of Stewartville, Minnesota, Regina (Duane) Bearman of Centerville, Iowa, and Marian (Marvin) Lamphier of Urbana, Iowa. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Lucille Taubeneck of Marysville, Washington.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Clifford Reedy, 1 brother, Clifford Archer, and 1 sister, Ida Ingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup, Iowa. Rev. Kenneth C. Stecher will be the Celebrant.

Friends may call for visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10th, at the White Funeral Home in Jesup, Iowa, where there will be a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday.

Casket Bearers will be Dean Reedy, Elmer Reedy, Louis Reedy, Owen Lamphier, Darren Bearman, Chris Vaage, Phillip Reedy, David Reedy, Vincent Reedy, and Tim Vaage. Burial will be in St. Athanasius Cemetery in Jesup.
