INDEPENDENCE - Edna L. Terry, 93, of Independence, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence following a short illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the First Baptist Church in Independence, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at White Funeral Home, Independence, with a 7 p.m. O.E.S. service.
She was born Jan. 20, 1914, in Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Robert and Flora Bell (Wiley) Parish. On June 6,1933, she and "Bill" Lee Terry were married in Madison, S.D. (He died in 1981.) They lived in Minneapolis, for a while before moving to Independence in 1942.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann (Otto, Jr.) Eschen of Independence, and Mary (Vernon) Frasher of Robins; two sons, John (Shirley) of Independence, and Donald (Mary) of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
