ROWLEY - Beulah M. Malcom, 86, of Independence, formerly of Rowley, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, following a short illness.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at the White Funeral Home in Independence. Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, at the Malvern Cemetery in Malvern, Iowa.
White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Freemont County, Iowa, the daughter of Lonnie Adon and Viola (Smay) Madison. On Oct. 14, 1940, she and Elmer Lorraine Malcom were married at the Methodist parsonage in Tarkio, Mo. He died in 1961. In addition to caring for her own family, Mrs. Malcom was a childcare provider for others.
Survivors include her daughter,Shirley (Richard) Seamans of Independence, her son; David (Daisy) Malcom of Randolph, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one sister, June Malcom of Malvern.
