INDEPENDENCE - Charles L. Robinson, 65, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, following a short illness.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at the United Methodist Church in Walker. Burial is in Spencer's Grove Cemetery, rural Walker. White Funeral Home in Independence is in charge of arrangements.
He was born April 21, 1941 in Independence, the son of William David and Neva Pearl (Sinkey) Robinson. On Nov. 20, 1960, he and the former Helen Marie Sucher were married at Independence. Charles was an operator in the Starch Department at Cargill in Cedar Rapids for 34 years before retiring in 2003.
Survivors include his wife Helen; two daughters, Carla (Raymond) Gienau of Rowley and Caylene (Drew) Foley of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; five grandchildren; three brothers, his twin Carl (Cathy) and Rick, both of Walker, and Bert (Shirlene) of Rowley.
