Oliver "Teddy" Green
INDEPENDENCE - Funeral services for Oliver "Teddy" Green were held Monday, June 1, at the White Funeral Home, Independence, with the Rev. James Fladland officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence. Mr. Green, 58 died at his home Thursday, May 28, 1998.
He was born June 26, 1939, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Philip John and Ardeen Neva Hertzberg Green. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Green was an exterior painter and worked on several crews in the Independence area. He enjoyed fishing and his pets.
Mr. Green is survived by several cousins, including Bernadine Shannon and Donald Hertzberg, both of Independence.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
