QUASQUETON - Funeral services for Leonard D. Butterfield will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Union Church, Quasqueton, with the Rev. Paul Drake officiating. Burial will be in the Quasqueton Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home, Quasqueton, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Mr. Butterfield, 82, died Sunday morning, June 7, 1998, at Peoples Memorial Long Term Cane Center, Independence, following a short illness.
Survivors include two sons, Duane of Independence, and Dean of Quasqueton; one daughter, Myrna Kane of Coggon; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nine Freeman of Independence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Myrtle, Aug. 4, 1997; two sisters, Bernice Kress and Veta Ferreter; and two brothers, Johnny and Harold.
