Genealogy records left by deceased

My mother-in-law passed away and left a large amount of genealogy work that family members aren’t interested in continuing. Is there a place that these volumes and miscellaneous paperwork can be donated to? It seems like a waste to just throw it all out. Thanks for taking my question.
