It seems unlikely that 3 great uncles would have survived someone who died when he was 94. I think what may have been meant was great grand nephews but it is hard to say.

The careful counts of descendents suggests the family keep good records. Perhaps the reason was for inheritance and therefore a probate record woud be of great interest.

Judith Buchholz of Charles City is a buchholz researcher. I believe she had a Buchholz family book.
