I was just given a copy of what appears to be a school group with 12 students and a teacher on a patriotic occasion. They all have flags, with a large flag in the background that appears to have 44 stars, which would mean it was between 1890 and 1896. There are three sons of Charles Stuart Shippy in the picture. The picture has the name of __. P. King, Photographer, Waterloo, IA on the back. What patriotic occasion would they have been celebrating and what school? They may have gone to Grove Hill School since their family farm was just north of the Grove Hill P.O. I would be glad to send you a copy of the picture, if that would help. Thanks
