Dear Friends,

I am seeking information pertaining to my great grandfather and his family. William Ed Harmon was born in Waverly, IA, in June of 1873 or 1874. His parents were John Henry Harmon and Alice Etta Jacobs. By the time of the 1880 US Census, the family was living in St. Louis. One of the records on this Web site indicates that Henry Harmon and Alice Jacobs were married in Bremer County on 2 Jul 1872.

John Henry Harmon's father was John C. Harmon (born in Germany). His mother was Rachel Lewis of Illinois.

Alice Etta Jacobs' father was Benjamin Jacobs who was born in New York. Her mother, Lucinda Emerson, was born in Ireland.

I am wondering if my Harmon family is related to William Patterson Harmon and/or if there is other factual information pertaining to my ancestors.
