Obituary - Mrs. August Kirchhoff nee Lohmann, wife of Carl Kirchhoff, was born in Warren township, Bremer county, Iowa, July 22, 1896 and there she was baptized and confirmed.

Jan. 28, 1915, she was married to Carl Kirchhoff of this city. She contracted a severe cold on Feb. 19, which developed into pneumonia. Monday, Feb. 26, Mrs. Kirchhoff gave birth to a baby boy who only lived a few hours and Saturday night she died.

Her husband, two little daughters, Vanita, Lavera, her mother, three brothers, and five sisters survive. The funeral was from the home Tuesday afternoon and continued at St. Peter's Evangelical church Rev. E. Stech officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's cemetery.
