Lloyd R. Dilley was born Aug. 26, 1918 in Bremer County, Iowa: the son of Lee and Sophia (Bartels) Dilley. With his brother Don, Lloyd farmed on the family farm, which had been in the family since the 1870s. He enjoyed baseball and traveling.

Lloyd passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 92. He is preceded in death by two sisters: Arlene McCue and Lucille Dilley and a long time friend Ruby Medlin. Lloyd is survived by his brother Don Dilley of Waterloo; a niece Mrs. Patricia Bergman and a special family friend Jean Waschkat of Waterloo.

Private family burial in Fremont Cemetery, Tripoli, at a later date. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, An Overton Family Service, Waterloo, is assisting the family.
