READLYN — Myrna Belden, 69, of Waverly, formerly of Readlyn, died at home Saturday, Oct. 23, of cancer.

She was born Feb. 19, 1941, in Waverly, daughter of Murl and Mabel Koschmeder Lockard. She married Robert Boeckmann in 1960. She married Scott Belden on Dec. 16, 1976, in Humboldt. He died Feb. 28, 2008.

Mrs. Belden graduated from Readlyn High School in 1958. She worked clerical positions, including Ramker Construction in Waverly and at the Bremer County Building and Zoning Department, retiring in 1998. She and her husband, Scott, built their income property business in Waverly and Waterloo.

Survived by: two daughters, Kellie (Eric) Blakesley of Waterloo and Jennifer (Michael) Way of Des Moines; and a brother, Veme Lockard of Riverside, Calif.

Public visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly. Her body has been cremated.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
