WATERLOO - Florine M. Hein Brown, 93, of Strawberry Point, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Oct. 29, at Strawberry Point Lutheran Home of natural causes.
She was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Denver, daughter of Herman and Alvina Buenneke Hein. She married Melvin Brown in September 1936, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death.
She graduated from East Waterloo High School in 1936. She was head secretary for Waterloo Recreation Center for 25 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
Survived by: a daughter, Marsha (Sam) Ritter of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; a grandson, Jeff Ritter of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; a granddaughter, Michele (Tim) Hanson of Cedar Falls; five great-grandchildren, Chelsey and Carley Ritter, Whitney, Katelyn and Sam Hanson; and a sister, Marion Watson of Riverview, Fla.
Preceded in death by: a son, Dennis Brown; a brother, Vernon Hein; and a twin sister, Florence Olson.
Services: private graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
