WAVERLY -- Donna Kay Oberheu, 80, of Waverly, died Friday, Oct. 11, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly, of complications of heart failure.

She was born Nov. 10, 1932, in Waverly, daughter of Lloyd and Matilda Lucille “Toby” Hen Krause. On Feb. 14, 1955, she married Vernon Arthur Oberheu in Kansas City, Mo.

She was a 1950 graduate of Waverly High School, and attended college for three years. Mrs. Oberheu worked at Carnation Co. (Nestle's), retiring in 1993, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Waverly.

Survived by: her husband of the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and a brother, John Krause.

Memorial services: 4 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Waverly. Her body was cremated, and there will be no public visitation. The family will greet friends an hour before services Thursday at the church. Inurnment will be in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, at a later date. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is assisting the family.
