SHELL ROCK — Lawrence F. “Bud” Soldwisch, 85, of Shell Rock, died at home Wednesday, July 17, of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 29, 1927, south of Waverly, son of William A. and Julia Miller Soldwisch. He married Darlene Myers-Holder on Dec. 4, 1955, at United Methodist Church-Washington Chapel.

Mr. Soldwisch graduated from Waverly High School in 1946. He was a farmer and a member of United Methodist Church-Washington Chapel, rural Cedar Falls.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Larry and Scott (Lori), both of Shell Rock, and Jeff (Rochelle) of Waverly; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Soldwisch of Waverly.

Preceded in death by: his parents; three grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Peace United Church of Christ, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, both in Waverly. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.
