Lenora B. Meyer
Lenora Bertha Anna, daughter of Fred and Hulda Propp Schilling, was born Sept. 11, 1917 at Waverly, Iowa. She was baptized October 10, 1917 and confirmed April 13, 1930 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waverly. She attended the Horton school until the 8th grade and graduated from Waverly High School in 1935.

On October 6, 1935 she was united in marriage with Bernhardt Meyer at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly. Over the years Lenora has taught school at Bremer, worked at Kramer Produce, and the Tripoli Café. The couple farmed in the New Hartford area and the Tripoli area before moving to Tripoli in 1954.

Following a sudden and unexpected illness, Lenora's death occurred Thursday evening, September 22, 1994 at Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner. She was 77 years old and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Siegel where she had held various church offices. She had also been active with the Good Time Singers, the Farm Bureau, and had recently served as secretary for the Tripoli Senior Citizens Group.

In addition to her husband, Ben of Tripoli, she is survived by two sons, Robert and Richard, both of Tripoli; one daughter, Carol, Mrs. Stephen Maurer, of Waterloo; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Wilbert Schilling of Nashua; and one sister, Esther, Mrs. Robert Heiser of Waverly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harlan.
