David D. Hagedorn, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at Windsor Nursing & Rehab in Cedar Falls.

He was born September 28, 1937, in Frederika, Iowa, the son of Louis and O'Linda (Bremer) Hagedorn. David graduated form Frederika High School. He married Lois E. Gosse on September 15, 1963, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Independence, Buchanan County, Iowa.

David was a veteran of the United States Army. Along with farming, he worked for John Deere until his retirement in 1997. David was a great gardener, enjoying his many beautiful flowers.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Hagedorn, of Cedar Falls; one son, Mark (Colette) Hagedorn, of Waverly, and one daughter, Lori (Rob Frett) Kussatz, of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Ashley Assink, Levi (Tenzin) Hagedorn, Justin Assink, Danielle Hagedorn, and Trevor Assink; one great grandchild, Luke Hagedorn; three brothers, Stanley (Joyce) Hagedorn of, Lubbock, Texas, Darol (Sharon) Hagedorn, of Cedar Falls, and Dennis (Kae) Hagedorn, of New Hartford.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.
