Funeral services were held for Mrs. Earl H. Carpenter, 89, at the Horton Baptist Church Tuesday, February 20, at 1:30. Mrs. Carpenter died at the Allison-Manor Nursing Home in Allison, Sunday morning, February 18, where she had been a resident for two years. She was at the Waverly Convalescent Home for three years.
PEARL L. WILSON was born November 16, 1884, in Bremer county, the daughter of Ed and Elizabeth Beldin Wilson. She married Earl Carpenter on March 10, 1903, in Bremer county and they farmed in the Horton area until retirement in 1946, when they moved to Waverly.
She is survived by her husband of the Allison Manor Nursing Home; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Beulah) Edmonds, Beloit, WI., and Mrs. Howard (Lois) Edmonds, of Waverly; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; also three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Smith and Mrs. Ethel Parkins of Vancouver, Wa.; and Mrs. Lee Roy Behrens of Highland, Ca.; and one brother, John Wilson of Waverly.
Rev. Russell Boersma officiated at the services. Burial was at Horton cemetery.
