Ray D. Bockhaus (1923-2007)
CEDAR FALLS - Ray D. Bockhaus, 84, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

He was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Frederika, son of August and Louise Bergmann Bockhaus. He married Della Beier on June 30, 1948, in Frederika.

Mr. Bockhaus graduated from Frederika High School and attended Luther College, Decorah. He owed and operated Ray D. Bockhaus Realty for many years.

Survivors include: his wife; a son, Ron (Susan) of Cold Spring, Minn.; a daughter, Pam (Kirk) Strawser of Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Vera Warnke of Grinnell.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Wilma Mueller and Leola Wendt; and two brothers, Elmer and Clarence.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
