Mother of Dayton Twp. Man Dies in Tripoli April 20

Mrs. Emilie Gaede, 78, mother of Emil Gaede of Dayton township, passed to her reward at her home in Tripoli, Friday, April 20, where she had been a resident for 26 years.

She was born in Germany May 16, 1856. She was baptized the same year and was confirmed in the Christian faith in 1870. She came to America in the year of 1878, and in 1879 she was married to Louie Gaede in Dayton township.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 22, at 1:30 from the home and continued at the St. Peter Evangelical church. Burial was made in the family lot in the St. Peter cemetery. Rev. Theo. Thomas, pastor of the church, officiated.

Surviving her are two daughters: Mrs. Art Koop of Tripoli and Miss Ida at home; four sons, Emil of Dayton township, Louis of Old Tripoli, Herman of Des Moines, and Henry of Waterloo.
