Funeral services held for Mrs. H. Hagenow
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Hagenow, 82, of Tripoli, were held Thursday, June 29 at the Grace Lutheran Church, Tripoli. Services at 2 p.m. followed a 1:30 p.m. prayer service held in the church parlors.

Rev. A. C. Koengeter officiated and interment was in the St. John American Lutheran Cemetery north of Sumner.

Mrs. Hagenow died Monday, June 26 at the Sumner Community Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for the past several years.

She was born Minnie Blasberg, daughter of Frederick and Sophia Oltrogge Blasberg in Fremont township, Bremer County, Iowa on July 21, 1884 and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on Aug. 29, 1884. Her baptism and confirmation which occurred on April 3, 1898, were in the same church, St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran, Readlyn.

She married Herman Hagenow on Feb. 16, 1905 at the same church, with the same minister, Rev. L. Lobeck, officiating.

Mr. Hagenow preceded her in death March 9, 1960.

She is survived by two daughters, Emelda, Mrs. Arthur Borcherding and Una, Mrs. Clarence Waskow, both of Sumner; two grandsons, Merlin Borcherding, Sumner and James Borcherding of Corryville; five great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Clara Boldt of Marshfield, Wisc., and a brother, Henry Blasberg of Tripoli.
