TRIPOLI — Funeral services were here Thursday for Mrs. Carl Biermann, 69, who died Tuesday at Schoitz Memorial hospital in Waterloo; born in Butler county, October 10, 1883, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buchholz; baptized in the church in Butler county, and confirmed at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed church in Tripoli; spent early life on a farm near Tripoli; married to Carl Biermann June 25, 1903; they lived on a farm near Tripoli until four years ago, when they retired and moved to Tripoli; celebrated their golden wedding anniversary June 25th of this year; leaves husband and nine children: Mrs. Ralph Bolte and Mrs. Clara Dettmer, Waverly; Mrs. Otto Buls, and Mrs. Frank Wilkens, Tripoli; Mrs. Louis Wedemeier, Charlie, Henry, and Glen, all of Sumner; and Edward at home; 31 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
