NEW HAMPTON - Olinda Hagedorn, 83 died Sunday, Sept. 14 at St. Joseph Community Hospital in New Hampton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Frederika with Reverend Eugene Walther officiating. Edith Kolthoff will be organist and accompany soloist David Drape who will sing "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Those in attendance will join in singing "How Great Thou Art".

Interment will be in New Hampton Cemetery with grandsons Randy, Mark, Jay, Darrin, Christopher and Michael Hagedorn serving as casket bearers.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at Conway Funeral Home in New Hampton where there will be a 7 p.m. Scripture Service, and also at the church an hour before service time on Wednesday.

Olinda Elizabeth Bremer was born July 25, 1914 near Frederika, the daughter of Frank A. and Alvina (Bahlmann) Bremer. She was baptized in infancy and received her Christian instruction in Leroy Township. She was confirmed at age 14 and attended school in Frederika. Olinda married Louie R. Hagedorn Sept. 11, 1932 at Harmony, MN. Following their marriage they farmed east of Frederika for a short time before purchasing a farm west of Frederika which they farmed for 52 years and resided on for 53 years. They moved to New Hampton Nov. 1, 1993. She was a member of St. John's Church and the Ladies Circle.

Surviving are her husband Louie, four sons, Stanley, Lubbock, TX, Darol, Cedar Falls, David, Janesville, and Dennis, Cedar Falls; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Arnold, Paul, and Lester Bremer; three sisters, Helena, Adala, and Hilda.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice.
