OBITUARY

Christina Karoline Plumhof, was born in Broshl, Ninburg, Hanover, Germany on July 15, 1860. She was confirmed on April 10, 1870 in the Lutheran Church by Rev. Bonig. Four years after her confirmation, she came with her father and settled in Randolph county, Illinois. They moved there for one year and then moved to Douglas Township in Bremer county.

She was united in marriage on November 5, 1876 to August Bergmann.

Mr. Bergmann preceded her in death on June 4, 1911, but Mrs. Bergmann continued to live on the farm with her son, Adolph Bergmann as a companion.

Mrs. Bergmann was the devoted mother of four sons and four daughters. Two of her daughters preceded her in death one passing away in infancy and the other at the age of 30 years.

Mrs. Bergmann leaves to mourn her loss four sons, Louis, August, Adolph and Edward and two daughters, Mrs. Lena Hartmann and Mrs. Matilda Biermann besides a hot of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon and contiued in the Douglas Lutheran Church Rev. Gerlock officiating.

Interment was made in the chuch cemetery.
