John Kirkpatrick, 79, died at the county home in Bremer county Monday afternoon. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. He had been an inmate of the home for many years. He is survived by his wife, who also lives at the county home, and one daughter, Mrs. Ella Ragsdale, of Waverly Junction.

Funeral services were held from the Kaiser funeral home in Waverly, Wednesday afternoon. Rev. A.R. Cooper, pastor of the Janesville Methodist Church had charge of the services, and burial was made in Fairview cemetery at Waverly Junction.
